There are so many stories to share of sweet Hallie Bunny. She is such a unique wild cottontail rabbit. I will always remember the day she came up to my husband and I for the first time and she sniffed our feet. We had just moved into our house and only been there for about 6 months. It appeared she was almost making an introduction. She stole my heart instantly and reminded me of my childhood rabbits, Terry and Tommy. We had pet rabbits growing up in Arizona and I remember enjoying all those sweet bunny hugs and kisses. I think it is the cutest thing to watch rabbits eat their food. Oh my goodness, pure cuteness.
When Hallie is visiting our yard, she loves to hang around while we are working in the yard. She finds a nice cozy spot in the grass or makes a little dirt bed and watches us. And what is so amazing, at times I catch a glimpse of her smiling at us. It warms my heart knowing she looks so happy and peaceful. We have so many predators in our area that she has to be aware of as a rabbit so when she has moments of peace with us, it is the pure joy.
I love it when she runs up to me for her carrots and treats. I will occasionally sit with Hallie while she enjoys her meal or while eating some grass. Over the years of knowing her, she has taught me so much about trust, faith and hope. To truly stop and smell the roses.
I am sure I will have many more stories along the way. For now, I hope you enjoy this picture of Hallie and her pure cuteness.
